Gargoyles are excellent subjects for photography...well, with the exception of certain members of parliament, of course.
We have a gargoyle on one of our local churches that dates back to the mediaeval period and shows a peasant with his head between his legs displaying his naked rump to the world. Don't ask me why, because I've no idea. Somehow I doubt whether they'd commission little pieces of folk art like that to adorn our churches nowadays.

I've got one on disk somewhere. Not sure where it is at the moment though 'cos I've got about 4,000 disks cluttering up my wardrobe. When I get the chance I'll have a look for it and let you know.
